I took possession of the car from my father several years ago with the intention of performing a full restoration. Life, work, and kids took priority and while I was able to get a number of things done on the car…and loved every minute of it…we are downsizing our residence, and I just won’t have the space to continue my efforts. It is in mid-restoration, and engine runs fine…although it’s not running at the moment. I would love to see someone pick this up, finish the job, and get her back out on the road where she belongs. To that point, while I could easily ‘part’ her out for much more than I am asking but it’s more important to me to know someone will enjoy her and benefit from the work already completed. Here is a little more detail:
- Factory applied anti-rust undercoating
- Factory Air
- Green & Black Tartan Interior
- original door panels in place and in great condition, very clean
- seats have been restored to black sport leather
- Straight body, no dents or damage beyond a few rock chips
- Gas tank has been dropped, replated, and replaced
- New shocks and springs
- New brakes all-around ; fully bled and tested
- New Manza exhaust system and dual chrome muffler
- Zenith Stromberg Carburetors completely rebuilt
- All suspension bushings replaced with high-performance silicon
- New mechanical fuel-pump
- Bumpers in excellent condition
- Pop-up head lights work
- Various hoses and belt have been replaced
- New platinum spark plugs
- New battery
- 89,000 mi.
- Very minor surface rust (around windscreen frame, wheel wells, boot)
- Needs a paint job. Originally Pearl or Pure White, was later repainted to British Racing Green
Additionally, I have several bits, moldings, lights, fuses, switches, and parts that come with the package…shown in the pictures and roughly inventoried here:
- 5 Hub caps, 4 (additional) Zenith Carbs (rebuilt), Several new hoses and belts, choke cable (new and in the bag), new oil filter, 2 mechanical fuel pumps, shop manual, new fan clutch (in the package), floor mats, bra, interior console, radio and speakers, lots of clamps, loose hardware, etc.
